Elysian is an Arii (a bug-like creature), whose family was murdered for their blood, an important ingredient for “Nectar” which is a common drug on his home planet. Elysian lives his life constantly paranoid that he may be attacked and harvested, which results in him constantly mechanically modifying his body to seem less Arii-like. The only part of him that is not mechanically modified is his head, which is constantly covered by a gladiator helmet.

Cloth is an ant who was born in a society of moths. Regardless of how the moths perceived Cloth, he always felt outcasted and frustrated with the Moths. One day when he is much older, he makes a friend, a Spider who was also wronged by Moth society. Together they team up to take revenge on the moths. Cloth makes an Atlas moth blanket to cloak himself, and uses light to lure Moths into the spiders domain to capture and eat them. Is Cloth being manipulated by his Spider partner? He doesn’t care. But neither will the Moths when they catch wind of this plan
